Summer sang in me

Thus in the winter stands the lonely tree,
Not knows what birds have vanished one by one,
Yet knows its boughs more silent than before:
I cannot say what loves have come and gone,
I only know that summer sang in me
A little while, that in me sings no more.

Edna St. Vincent Millay

There's nothing to say, except this poem is stunningly poignantly heartbreaking. Hugs to you, dear friend.

Just remember that after Winter comes Spring. The tree gradually comes to life with buds that turn to leaves. The birds return to nest, give new birth and sing. And, new loves enter your life. Soul mate
